Hi! I’m Uma and I'm 17 years old. Ballet changed my life and ever since I was six, I have fallen in love with it. Ballet inspired a passion for expressing myself through dance and movement and has shaped how I see the world. However, I know that the ballet industry is often inaccessible and I wish to help others to have the opportunity to dance and find that same passion. The Green Ballerina Organization raises funds to donate as a scholarships to others who do not have the funds or ability to dance ballet. It is my hope to give others that love and passion that brings me such joy and happiness.

I have also been passionate about the environment ever since I can remember. Growing up in Miami, the beaches near me are flooded with trash. I organize beach cleanups as well as coral restoration projects and document all of this to raise awareness for the importance of protecting and preserving the beautiful spaces around us.
